BOTOX AND XEOMIN NEUROMODULATORS

Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA) and Xeomin® (incobotulinumtoxinA), are called neuromodulators. They are neurotoxic proteins produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. They block certain chemical signals from nerves, mostly signals that cause muscles to contract. They gradually reduce and smooth wrinkles by relaxing the muscles around them. They help to improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines temporarily.

What Are They Used for?

The most common use of these injections is to temporarily relax the facial muscles that cause wrinkles in the forehead and around the face. They can temporarily improve the appearance of frown lines between the eyebrows, often referred to as the “angry 11s.” They can also be treated in areas like Crow’s Feet around the eyes and smile lines. When used in small doses, it has both cosmetic and medical uses.

They are very helpful in treating many health problems, including
  • Temporary smoothening of facial wrinkles and improving your appearance.
  • TMJ disorder causes jaw pain and masseter spasms.
  • Severe underarm sweating.
  • Chronic migraine.

Do Not Use Xeomin® If:

You are allergic to botulinum toxin or any other ingredients in Xeomin®.
You have an allergic reaction to any other botulinum toxin.
You have a skin infection at the planned injection site.

DERMAL FILLERS

Dermal fillers work best when used to repair static wrinkles, which are lines that develop over time as a result of collagen loss. Dynamic wrinkles are folds and creases that appear around the forehead and eyes and are typically caused by specific facial expressions. Although they can be coupled with neuromodulators, dermal fillers cannot treat dynamic wrinkles.

We provide Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin to reduce the activity of the facial muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles on the upper face. Patients can treat several wrinkle issues in one session when using these products in conjunction with dermal fillers. Before maintenance therapy is required, neuromodulators may last up to four months.
